He barely made the team as a sixth-round draft pick in 2006, but Reed Doughty is the only safety left who played for the Redskins this season after Vernon Fox was cut today. Troy Vincent wasn’t brought back in 2007. Adam Archuleta was traded to Chicago. Sean Taylor was murdered last November. Pierson Prioleau wasn’t re-signed this offseason. But Doughty has not only survived, he’s a starter. The only other DBs left from 2006 are starting corners Shawn Springs and Carlos Rogers, which speaks to the transient nature of the NFL.
