According to the team-owned ESPN 980, the Washington Redskins have moved fast in replacing Vinny Cerrato.
Former Tampa Bay executive Bruce Allen is expected to be introduced as executive vice president of football operations and general manager later today.

Allen, who was fired along with coach Jon Gruden last year by the Buccaneers, is the son of former Redskins coach George Allen.
Cerrato announced his resignation this morning and obviously owner Dan Snyder had conducted a search in private, one that had to include honoring the Rooney Rule (interviewing a minority candidate).
The next question is whether Gruden will get out of his ESPN contract (which was extended Nov. 16) to join the Redskins and team with Allen. The two were together in Oakland and when Gruden went to Tampa Bay, Allen followed.
Allen was with Oakland from 1996-2003 and the Bucs 2004-08.
The consensus is that Gruden pulled most of the strings personnel-wise and Allen was an administrator.
