Not much going on in the locker room during the 45-minute period. Jason Campbell and Clinton Portis did their usual group sessions.

A couple of updates:

*Portis said after six years with the Redskins, he’s used to the constant change. “It’s not all of a sudden a surprise. That’s what it is around here – change. In the midst of the change, it brings news for you all and you report everything.”

*Punter Hunter Smith expects to be available Monday night, saying his groin injury feels “considerably” better than this time last week. He’s missed the last two weeks.

*Newcomers Quinton Ganther said he was released by Tennessee late in the preseason because of a calf strain. He’s spent the last month-and-a-half rehabbing the injury. Before signing with the Redskins he also worked out for Green Bay. Ganther (5-9, 214) said he was the Titans’ No. 2 fullback and No. 3 tailback last year.

*Not practicing: LT Chris Samuels, DT Albert Haynesworth, RB Clinton Portis, TE Chris Cooley, S Chris Horton, S Kareem Moore.
