Redskins left tackle Chris Samuels is expected to retire because of a neck injury sustained two weeks ago in the loss at Carolina, but a source says Samuels will wait 3-4 months, be re-evaulated and then make a final decision.

Samuels, who was injured on the Redskins’ second offensive play when he butted heads with a rushing Panthers defensive player. The injury was labeled a stinger but a day later, coach Jim Zorn said Samuels had stenosis, a narrowing of the spinal column.
