Biden sanctions Jewish West Bank settlers attacking Palestinians

President Biden issued an executive order Thursday punishing Israeli settlers who attack Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, acting after critics said he hasn't been tough enough on the settler movement that has complicated peace efforts amid the raging war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

White House to host state dinner with Japan’s PM

President Biden and first lady Jill Biden will host Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko Kishida, at the White House for an official state visit and lavish dinner this spring, the administration announced Thursday.
