Robert Griffin III stuck at career crossroads after ankle injury

For Griffin, the lack of time on the field could be counterproductive. The things he needs to work on — reading defenses, adapting to the blitz, throwing the ball away and knowing situational football — are things he cannot do while watching film.

Kedric Golston inactive Sunday for game against Jaguars with groin injury

Golston, who has been nursing a strained groin since the season-opening loss at Houston, is inactive and will not play Sunday in the Redskins’ home opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He'll be one of four players, including tight end Jordan Reed, who will not be available to play.

Back on Redskins’ active roster, Akeem Davis focused on improvement
