It’s funny how there’s one big similarity between last week and this week in College Park.

By last Monday, everything that needed to be written had been written. OK, maybe by Wednesday. But either way, another game was needed to draw any more conclusions.


Seems like the same is true now. Yep, Maryland played well against California. At times, the Terps were exceptional. But I already feel like I’m repeating myself, and it’s Monday.

Anyway, here’s what got stitched together for today’s dead-tree edition:


* Jeff Barker of the Baltimore Sun writes that Maryland doesn’t plan to fall into another trap anytime soon.

* The Diamondback’s Eric Detwiler says coach Ralph Friedgen‘s message has set in.
