Well, this looks like a fun road trip —- if you like the whole gambling and shows thing.

Which a lot of people do.

Navy will get that enjoyable jaunt twice in the middle of the next decade when it plays a four-game series with UNLV. Both teams get a pair of home games, with the Rebels coming east in 2015 and 2017.

This is also an excuse to write about UNLV circa 2008, which is emerging as one of the most interesting teams in the country. The Rebels are 3-1 with victories over Arizona State and Iowa State, and get in-state rival Nevada next.

If they can poach two games from the bottom half of the Mountain West, the Rebels are looking at six wins —- and perhaps even saving embattled coach Mike Sanfords job.

A quick note on Sanford —- he’s doing his best Woody Hayes imitation heading into the game against Nevada, referring to the Wolf Pack as “That Team Up North.” Well played.
