*The rookies had another visitor this morning — former Redskins star Lavar Arrington. He went out on the ice for a few minutes and then took in some of practice from the bench. In his own words, ‘Remember, I WAS a world-class athlete,’ and he looked like he could handle himself on the ice a little.

*No Anton Gustafsson for a second straight day.


*They were just working on the power play, likely in preparation of the game Thursday against the Flyers. One group was Matheiu Perreault, Francois Bouchard and Steve Pinizzotto up front with Josh Godfrey and Patrick McNeil on the points. The other had John Carlson at the top of the zone with four forwards — Oskar Osala, Travis Morin, Dmitry Kugryshev and Jay Beagle. Before anyone asks, Karl Alzner was at the other end working on penalty-killing.
