Add Josh Godfrey‘s name to the list of guy’s on their way to Hershey. I thought Godfrey had a nice camp, and he certainly looks like he has a chance with a little development time in the AHL.

Some other tidbits:

*Bruce Boudreau said Alexander Semin might actually see a regular shift on the PK this season. The reasons are he is great with his stick and it would be a way to get him a couple more minutes of ice time. Now, Boudreau will have to keep him motivated to work on the PK, but it could be an interesting idea. Boudreau said he used a lot of his best forwards on the PK in Hershey.

*Boudreau said Perreault and Carlson both earned the chance to stick around with their play in the first two preseason games, and both will be in the lineup tomorrow at Boston.

*Jose Theodore had a new mask in his stall, but he said he’s shipping it back because it doesn’t fit right on his face. I couldn’t see all of it, but the primary color was blue and the team’s secondary logo was on the “chin” of the mask. It had LX (his number in roman numerals) on one side just like his old one does.

UPDATE: Just saw the rest of Theodore’s mask (again, it may not be the final cut since he is sending it back), but it is blue on the sides and red on top with a pair of eagles above the letters LX on each side.

There are also three more cuts to report. Goalie Daren Machesney and forwards Andrew Joudrey and Andrew Gordon were sent back to Hershey, so we’re down to 34 in camp here in Arlington. Maybe Simeon Varlamov has nudged ahead of the other goalies after all.
