The Washington Times - January 15, 2009, 01:13PM

Metallica, Run DMC, Jeff Beck, Bobby Womack, Little Anthony and the Imperials and Wanda Jackson were all announced as inductees into the 2009 class for the rock and roll hall of fame. And, as good luck would have it, Metallica hits DC tonight, playing to a hyped up crowd at the Verizon Center.

Metallica is in the middle of its Death Magnetic tour, and tonight’s show will be their first after finding out their new Hall of Fame status; as a longtime fan of the hard rocking quartet, I can only hope that the info will give the musicians even more energy than usual. Tickets are still available (including some pretty decent, lower section seating), so act fast if you want to check out the show.
