Apparently it’s official: there’s a new release, version 3.0, of OpenOffice.org‘s productivity suite — and it’s jamming servers. You can get a free copy of the software for Windows, Linux, Solaris and (Intel-based) Mac computers, but there’s as much traffic as 295 in Lanham on a home game Sunday:
Apologies - our Web site is struggling to cope with the unprecedented
demand for the new release 3.0 of OpenOffice.org. The technical teams are
trying to come up with a solution.
I like OpenOffice, and for Mac users, you get a program which uses the VBA macros that Microsoft Office 2008 ignores — foolishly, in my view. Enjoy trying it out.
