HUMPHRIES: Rusty’s Big Bang rebuttal

A while back, I did a video commentary on the "Cosmos" TV series. The ratings haven't been great, but I think the series is wonderfully produced and well thought out. My issue with the series was its negative portrayal of the church, religion, and God when it comes to the topic of the creation of the Universe.

HUMPHRIES: Google celebrates murder? Happy b-day Rachel Carson

The day after Memorial Day, Google threw up a full-blown Doodle of custom artwork to mark an occasion they clearly thought was far more important than Memorial Day: the 107th birthday of Rachel Carson, a liar and environmentalist hysteric who killed millions of people with a book.

HUMPHRIES: Next time you visit The Wall

My hope? When my fellow Americans enjoy this wonderful day off from work, they will take a moment, just a moment to tell their children what Memorial Day means and how blessed they are to be Americans.

Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric K. Shinseki continues to face questions about patient wait lists and calls for his resignation. The Obama administration was warned about "systemic" VA problems in 2008. (associated press)

HUMPHRIES: Liberal Bully of the Week: VA chief Eric K. Shinseki

FILE - In a Thursday, May 8, 2014 file photo, South Africans protest in solidarity against the abduction three weeks ago of hundreds of schoolgirls in Nigeria by the Muslim extremist group Boko Haram and what protesters said was the failure of the Nigerian government and international community to rescue them, during a march to the Nigerian Consulate in Johannesburg, South Africa. More than three weeks after Islamic extremists abducted the girls, world outrage is galvanizing Twitter and other social-media sites. But observers question whether the burst of online interest will last and whether it can ever elevate the case from a trending topic to a mandate for action. (AP Photo/Ben Curtis, File)

HUMPHRIES: Lefty come lately: Boko Haram is the new celebrity cause

Boko Haram has killed over 1,500 people so far. They've had dealings in the slave trade for a long time. But they didn't get much attention from the world community until they kidnapped all those girls ... and they didn't get any attention from the Obama administration or its media friends at all.

HUMPHRIES: The day free expression died

Are we really going to start punishing private speech and thought crimes with multimillion dollar fines? Will we be punishing everyone who says anything in private that a group doesn’t like?

HUMPHRIES: The Bully of the Week: The IRS

The Internal Revenue Service is often a strong contender for Bully of the Week, and if we're going to hand out a Bully of the Year award, the agency will probably be in the running.
