Apparently 500 home runs and 3,000 hits weren't enough for Rafael Palmeiro. The 54-year-old slugger, who spent most of his major-league career with the Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles, has signed a new contract with an independent minor-league club, the Cleburne Railroaders.

Viktor Vekselberg payments to Michael Cohen investigated by Robert Mueller: report

Special counsel Robert Mueller is looking into payments a Kremlin-tied Russian oligarch made to President Trump's personal lawyer. Citing "a source familiar with the matter," CNN reported Tuesday evening that Mr. Mueller's team was asking questions about hundreds of thousands of dollars paid to Michael Cohen by oligarch Viktor Vekselberg.

Robert Mueller rejects Trump offer to answer written questions, Rudy Giuliani says

Special counsel Robert Mueller reportedly rejected an offer from President Trump's legal team to answer written questions. Former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, now the public face of Mr. Trump's legal team, told NBC News on Monday that he made the offer "about 10 days ago during his first meeting with Mueller."

Brookeville, Maryland shooting: ‘Multiple fatalities’ reported, manhunt underway

Police in a Washington suburb were engaged in a manhunt Monday for a person suspected in multiple killings. According to Montgomery County police, the case is a "domestic disturbance with initial report of multiple people shot." The shootings took place on the 22000 block of Brown Farm Way, east of Sunshine, in Montgomery County, Maryland.
