I don’t even know where to begin with this. I guess the McCain campaign invited it by running the celebrity ad against Barack Obama, but now Paris Hilton has responded with her own Web video. Be warned, in addition to terminal vapidity it’s got a naughty word or two.

As if that’s not enough, the McCain campaign has decided to respond.
“It sounds like Paris Hilton supports John McCain‘s ‘all of the above’ approach to America’s energy crisis — including both alternatives and drilling,” said spokesman Tucker Bounds. “Paris Hilton might not be as big a celebrity as Barack Obama, but she obviously has a better energy plan.”

So let’s get this straight — McCain insults Obama by comparing him to Hilton, now he says Hilton is better than Obama, and in essence claims her video is an endorsement.

Now don’t tell Paris, but even though McCain may be wrinkly, he’s at least old enough to run for president. The Constitution doesn’t really mention being “hot” as a prerequisite.

Still, dare we ask what Britney’s response will be?
