There’s still plenty to mine in Barack Obama’s decision not to meet with wounded troops, and we probably got a sneak peak today at what John McCain’s next ad will be.
The campaign sent out a statement from a retired Army chief warrant officer, Michael J. Durant, who says he spent time at Ramstein Air Base in Germany recovering from wounds and says: “I’m sure that Senator Obama could have made no better use of his time than to meet with our men and women in uniform there. That Barack Obama believes otherwise casts serious doubt on his judgment and calls into question his priorities.”
For a campaign that seemed reluctant to touch the Obama-troops issue at the beginning, the McCain campaign has certainly found its voice. This new statement has ad written all over it.
