Their calls for Republicans to reform and purify themselves of Mr. Trump's pro-America agenda are disingenuous. As if they ever cared what is best for the conservative party or for America.

As a result, family caregivers don't have to worry about their loved ones being left vulnerable by cost-cutting measures taken by some care-home business-owners in order to maximize profits.

While the current differences between President Biden and the radical left on removing the border wall and essentially allowing a free flow of immigrants into our nation are of immediate importance, the underlying problems will remain between the two views ("Biden 'in a real bind with the radical left' over push to tear down border wall," Web, Feb. 14). Mr. Biden was elected on the basis of his ability to defeat Trump, with little regard by the Democrats and independents for the differing views between the radical left and the more moderate positions of Mr. Biden. Now is the time for these opposing positions to be resolved. But with his key-position appointments he seems to essentially be accommodating the radical left.

Those sitting courtside in American Airlines Stadium in Dallas can breathe in the redolence of the progressive virtues of inclusion and unity. This week, oligarch, shark and Dallas Maverick owner Mark Cuban affirmed that he canceled the playing of our national anthem before Maverick home games. The peremptoriness was all too apparent in his statement: "It was my decision to not play the anthem before games. It wasn't because the franchise lacks love for the United States, but rather because many in the organization feel that the anthem doesn't represent them."

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Make parochial schools more affordable

The National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) reports that among many factors driving a 6.4% decrease in Catholic-school enrollment, the difficulty in paying tuition fees (which average over $5,000 for grades K-8 and more than $10,000 for secondary school) is forcing parents to remove their children from Catholic schools. Ironically, the average annual per-pupil cost for a public-school education is around $12,000, ranging from a low of $7,800 in Utah to a high of $24,000 in New York.
