WMSN Fox 47 Madison, Sinclair affiliate, refuses to air mandatory ‘fake news’ promo

The Madison, Wisconsin Fox affiliate tweeted Monday that it did not run a Sinclair Broadcast Group promotional announcement warning about "fake news." TV station WMSN, channel 47, took to Twitter to wash it hands of the "must-run promo," which Deadspin turned into an internet meme, and the cause of much liberal consternation, using footage of anchors in different cities reading the identical piece.

Laura Ingraham backed by Fox News amid David Hogg advertiser boycott

In a statement Monday evening, Fox News said it would not knuckle under to the campaign against Laura Ingraham and her advertisers by David Hogg and other gun-control advocates. "We cannot and will not allow voices to be censored by agenda-driven intimidation efforts," Fox News Co-President Jack Abernethy wrote.

David Hogg-Laura Ingraham feud incites Russian bots, boosts #IStandWithLaura hashtag

The David Hogg-Laura Ingraham feud has reportedly attracted the attention of Russian bots on social media. The website Hamilton 68 reported that #IStandWithLaura, a hashtag protesting Mr. Hogg's efforts to drive the Fox News host off the air, was the top trending hashtag Saturday night among bots and accounts linked to Russian influence operations.

David Hogg says Laura Ingraham a ‘bully’ amid advertiser boycott

"It's disturbing to know that somebody can bully so many people and just get away with it, especially to the level that she did," David Hogg told CNN. "No matter who somebody is, no matter how big or powerful they may seem, a bully is a bully and it's important that you stand up to them."

David Hogg pushes Laura Ingraham boycott

Anti-gun activist David Hogg spent much of Wednesday evening trying to gin up an advertiser boycott against Fox News host Laura Ingraham. Her crime? Taunting him about his GPA and college admissions.

Corey Feldman not stabbed, police say

Corey Feldman was all over the media and social media Wednesday, giving an account of being stabbed by a "wolfpack." But the Los Angeles Police Department is now saying he was never stabbed.

Groupon apologizes after N-word used on website

Groupon apologized Wednesday after people noticed that the use of a racial slur in the color descriptions on its website. According to screenshots posted to Twitter and Instagram, a pair of Women's Fringed Suede Moccasin Boots was available in Apricot, Black, Brown, and [N-word]-Brown.
