\ Quarterback Jordan Steffy (concussion) remains in a holding pattern. He underwent tests yesterday, and will undergo some more on Tuesday. The Sept. 29 hit at Rutgers produced Steffy’s second career concussion, so the Terps are proceeding with caution.\

\ Rick Costa joined the multiple concussion parade - well, he was already there on Saturday, but we didn’t find out until today. Apparently the linebacker had a slight concussion in addition to a neck injury when he was airlifted to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore during the 28-26 victory over Georgia Tech.\

\ “He’s had two - that we know of,” coach Ralph Friedgen said, probably in a more ominous manner than he intended. “He had one earlier in two days and kept him out about five weeks. They don’t think this one’s as bad, but again they’ll be very cautious.”\

\ Sounds like Adrian Moten should keep sharp at weak-side linebacker for the short-term.\

\ One other sort-of update: Defensive tackle Travis Ivey will not undergo surgery on his right medial collateral ligament and will be out six weeks.\
