If National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden is looking for sympathy, he’s not going to find it from billionaire Donald Trump.

“This guy is a bad guy,” said Mr. Trump, who flirted with a presidential run during the 2012 cycle. “And you know, there is still a thing called execution. You have to take a strong hand. You have thousands of people with access to the kind of material like this. We’re not going to have a country any longer.”

“You have thousands of people with this kind of access, and who’s going to be the next Snowden?” Mr. Trump said Monday on “Fox and Friends.” “Unless the retribution is swift and really strong, you’re going to have other people coming out with more information than he’s got.”

During a brief exchange about President Obama’s planned address on climate change Tuesday, Mr. Trump, who has repeatedly questioned the legitimacy of Mr. Obama’s birth certificate, also claimed during his weekly appearance on the program that during the 1920s, magazine covers printed all sorts of alarmist headlines about “global cooling.”
