Sen. John McCain said the Obama administration is lying when it denies it scrubbed the official talking points regarding last year’s Benghazi assault.

“I’d call it a cover-up,” Mr. McCarin, Arizona Republican, said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.” “I would call it a cover-up to the extent that it was willful removal of information, which was obvious.”

While White House press secretary Jay Carney on Friday acknowledged an “interagency” and “iterative” editing process, he continued to say the White House was responsible for changing only one word in the talking points — a change to the word “consulate” to “diplomatic post” for accuracy purposes.
