Upstate N.Y. nurse killed with ghost gun in murder-suicide

A 30-year-old Cohoes, New York, nurse was shot and killed by her estranged husband Tuesday morning, just hours after she returned home from a family reunion in Georgia. The Cohoes police chief says the weapon was an unregistered so-called ghost gun, assembled from mail-order parts rather than purchased through a licensed dealer.

Congress talks tough on Flock cameras, but no bill would ban them outright

As of this week, no bill in Congress would ban Flock Safety's automated license plate readers outright, even as a bipartisan chorus of lawmakers, most of them Republicans, has spent the past several months introducing or promising legislation to rein in the technology. DOJ charges 17 in Iran-linked Mabna Institute university hacking case

A 14-count superseding indictment unsealed today charges 17 alleged members of the Mabna Institute, an Iran-based company, with participating in a years-long cyber-intrusion campaign targeting 144 U.S. universities, 178 foreign universities, at least 42 U.S. private-sector companies, at least 11 foreign companies, at least five U.S. federal and state government agencies, and at least two nongovernmental organizations, according to the Justice Department.

David Krumholtz takes indefinite break from acting
