Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney congratulated former President George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush on becoming grandparents for the first time.
The Bushes’ daughter, Jenna Bush Hager, gave birth to Margaret Laura “Mila” Hager in New York City over the weekend. The news spread around the Internet and the TV airwaves via the “Today Show,” where the new mother works as a correspondent.

Mr. Romney, whose bid to follow the Bushes to the White House failed in November, took to Twitter to say: “Congrats to President Bush and @laurawbush on the arrival of their first grandchild. A good start!”
Mr. Romney’s suggestion that more grandchildren are on the way is probably because he and his wife, Ann, have five sons and 20 grandchildren-and-counting.
